Dr. Chittaranjan Hens

Chittaranjan Hens is an Assistant Professor at the International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIITH), in the Center for Computational Natural Sciences and Bioinformatics (CCNSB), where he has been serving since July 2022. His research interests lie in statistical physics, nonlinear dynamics, and network science, with a particular focus on functional networks derived from epileptic data and the propagation of diseases in complex networks.

Prior to his current position, he was a DST-INSPIRE Faculty (2018–2022) at the Physics and Applied Mathematics Unit, Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata. He completed his postdoctoral research as an Indo-Israel Fellow (PBC) at Bar-Ilan University, Israel (2015–2018). His broader interests span brain dynamics, dynamical systems, and interdisciplinary applications of mathematics to real-world phenomena.
